Wife of George Hase passed away Monday evening at Samaritan Convalescent Home after a lingering illness. Age 48 years. Lenora B. Goodman was born July 11, 1909 in Fremont Township. She was married to Mr. Hase, Sept. 16, 1939 at St. Peter Lutheran Church at Hemlock, of which she was a member. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Vernon and Norman Hase, both at home; one sister and one brother, Mrs. W. Dale Turner; Edwin Goodman, both of Hemlock. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock. Rev. Edward Pankow will officiate. Friends may call at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles, after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Passed away Monday afternoon, July 13, 1970, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Age 69 years. He was born April 10, 1901, in Richland Township. He married Lenora Goodman Sept. 16, 1939. She passed away March 17, 1958. He was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hemlock. He was retired from the Frutchey Bean Co., St. Charles. Surviving are two sons, Vernon and Norman Hase, both of St. Charles; two grandchildren, Eric and Rebekka Hase, all of Hemlock. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hemlock. Rev. E. Pankow will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles, after 7 p.m. Tuesday, until noon on Thursday, and at the church from 1 .m. Thursday, until time of service. Those, who so desire, may give memorials to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Passed away Saturday, February 20, 1999, at her home in Hemlock at the age of 85 years. Elsie E. Goodman was born September 11, 1913 in Hemlock to the late Charles and Barbara Goodman and was a lifelong resident. She was married to W. Dale Turner in 1941. She is survived by one son, three daughters and their spouses, Gordon and Lynne Turner, Hemlock; Barbara and Larry Widmer, Wichita, Kansas; Nancy and Dan Priest, Hemlock; Darlene and Bob Rupp, Rochester Hills; seven grandchildren, Alexandrine (Jerald) Brown, Edmore; Mariyah (Todd) Fritz, Temperance; Jason (Lisa) Lapa, San Diego, California; Jason Hiser, Hancock; Leane Hiser, Hemlock; Adam and Amy Rupp, Rochester Hills; four great-grandchildren, Blake and Parker Fritz; Emily Brown, and Bailey Lapa; also her sister-in-law, Ruth Goodman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her daughter, Mary, her brother, Edwin Goodman and her sister, Lenora Hase.
Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 1999 at the W.L.Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Dr. Steven Gjerstad will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetary. Friends may call at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday and then from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Lifelong resident of Fremont Township passed away suddenly at his home Monday afternoon, April 17, 1972. Age 72 years. He was born March 18, 1900, in the house that had been his lifelong home. He had engaged in farming all of his life. He had served on the Board of the Hemlock Creamery and had served on the District School Board for many years. He married Irene Fox in 1923. She passed away in 1935. On Nov. 1, 1941, he married Elsie Goodman. She survives him. He also leaves one son and four daughters, Gordon G. Turner, Nancy Ellen, Mary E. and Darlene A. Turner, all at home; Mrs. Larry (Barbara Ann) Widmer, Midland. Another son, Lloyd C. Turner, passed away in August of 1947. He also leaves one sister, Agnes I. Turner, Saginaw. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday at the Case chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. John Huhtals will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetary. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Those, who so desire, may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Nelson Methodist Church.

Passed away Wednesday, October 15, 1986 at Saginaw Community Hospital where she had been a longtime resident. Age 33 years. She was born Aug. 21, 1953, the daughter of Elsie Goodman Turner, Hemlock, and the late W. Dale Turner. She was graduated from Hemlock High School with high honors in 1971. She was a member of Hemlock United Methodist Church. Surviving besides her mother are a brother, three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Gordon G. Turner, Hemlock; Barbara and Larry Widmer, Midland; Nancy and Chip Hiser, Hemlock; Darlene and Robert Rupp, Rochester, Mich.; two nieces, two nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will take place 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the W.L.Case & Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. near Gratiot. Rev. Steven Gjerstad will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetary.

Passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 16, 1991, at St. Luke's Hospital. The son of Charles and Barbara Goodman was born Nov. 1, 1917 in Hemlock on the farm where he resided all of his life. He married Ruth H. Beamish July 7, 1944 in Midland. He was a graduate of Hemlock High School and Michigan State College Short Course. He was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church having served as trustee on the Administrative Council and on the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. He served on the Hemlock Board of Education for 16 years as trustee, treasurer and president. He was also a member of several agricultural and dairy related organizations. Surviving besides his wife Ruth are three daughters and their spouses, William and Jean Gulliford, Hemlock; Vincent and Helen Caruso, Orland Park, Ill; David and Karen Glover; exchange student daughter and spouse, Pekka and Soile Rahkola and their three children in Finland; he also leaves a sister, Elsie Turner, Hemlock; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Lenora Hase.
Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the W.L.Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Dr. Steven A. Gjerstad will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetary. Passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005, following a brief illness. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Harry L. and Helen A. (Weidman) Beamish was born March 23, 1923 in Midland. She married Edwin H. Goodman, July 7, 1944, in Midland. He predeceased her July 16, 1991. She was an active member of Nelson United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Jean and William Gulliford, Hemlock; Helen and Vince Caruso, Surprise, Ariz.; Karen and David Glover, Chelsea, Mich.; five grandchildren, Tony Caruso, Atlanta, Ga.; Marc and Sunni Caruso, Aurora, Ill.; Valerie Caruso, Las Vegas, Nev.; Sarah and Amy Glover, Chelsea, Mich.; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Charlotte Caruso, Aurora, Ill.; exchange student daughter and her spouse, Soile and Pekka Rahkola and their family in Finland; a sister Margaret J. Wade and a brother H. Jack Beamish, both of Midland; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the W.L.Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Nicholas W. Scroggins will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetary. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
