"WILLIAM GOODEMAN.
William Goodeman, sr., 75, a resident of Kochville township for the past 55 years, dies Saturday night at his home. He was born April 11, 1867, in Zilwaukee and moved in 1887 to Kochville. On June 30, 1894, he married Miss Libbie Ludlum. Mr. Goodeman was a member of Lawndale Evangelical congregation. He leaves his wife; two sons and one daughter, William and Carl Goodeman of Kochville and Mrs. John Sieggreen of Saginaw township; two brothers and one sister, Theodore Goodeman of Bridgeport, Joseph Goodeman of Saginaw township and Mrs. Levant Ludlum of Kochville, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home and at 2 p.m. at Lawndale Evangelical church. Rev. Herbert Stressman will officiat and burial will be in Kochville Methodist cemetery."

Widow of William Goodeman Sr. passed away Monday evening at Saginaw General Hospital. Age 94 years. Libbie Ludlum was born May 10, 1874, in Kochville and was married to Mr. Goodeman June 30, 1894. He passed away Aug. 1, 1942. She was a member of the Kochville United Methodist Church and the WSCS. Surviving are two sons, William and Carl Goodeman, both of Kochville. A daughter, Lena Sieggreen predeceased her in January of 1966. She also leaves seven grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Theodore Goodeman, Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kochville United Methodist Church. Rev. Sherman L. Beird will officiate with burial in Kochville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St. from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Thursday , and at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday, until time of service. Those, who so desire, may give memorials to the Kochville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund."

Passed away Friday, February 5, 1982 at Saginaw General Hospital. Age 79 years. He was born April 28, 1902 in Kochville Twp. and has been a lifelong resident. He married Frieda A. Thompson on June 19, 1929, she survives him. He had owned and operated a farm all of his life. He was a member of the West Michigan Ave. United Methodist Church and the Saginaw County Farm Bureau. Besides his wife he leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother and sister, Mrs. Lena Sieggreen and William Goodeman predeceased him.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams. Rev. Troy Lemmons will officiate with burial in the Kochville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the West Michigan Ave. United Methodist Church."

Frieda Alberta THOMPSON

Her maiden name doesn't make sense. Carl's obit says it was Thompson. Frieda's obit says it was Jenkins. They must be the same person. Birthdate, marriage, husband's death date etc. all match up.

He predeceased her in 1982. She was a member of West Michigan Ave. United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sister-in-law Leona Goodeman and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. Richard Turner will officiate with private burial in Kochville Cemetery. Word has been received here of the death Monday at his home in Brimley of John F. Goodeman, 69, for 27 years a resident of Saginaw. The funeral took place Wednesday at Sault Ste. Marie. He was born Feb. 16, 1871, in Saginaw and left here in 1898. He leaves his wife, Alice; three daughters, Mrs. R. J. Strobridge and Mrs. Ed Sparks of Sault Ste. Marie, and Mrs. Richard Gemmel of Brimley, a son, Russell Goodeman of Brimley, three brothers, a sister and 12 grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Saginaw County, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Raymond Ritter, in Buena Vista Township, Monday evening. Age 79 years. He was born Feb. 12, 1876, in Zilwaukee and moved to Kochville with his parents in childhood. Later he operated a farm in Saginaw Township for over 50 years, retiring in 1930. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Tittabawassee Township. Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Catherine Bremer, Kochville; Mrs. Raymond Ritter, Buena Vista; Louis Goodeman and Joseph Goodeman, Jr. both of Saginaw; eight grandchildren; also one brother and one sister, Theodore Goodeman, Bridgeport; Mrs. Augusta Ludlum, Kochville. Passed away 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1971 at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness. Age 92 years. He was born May 8, 1879 in Zilwaukee and had lived in this area all of his life, and since their marriage at their present home. He married Alberta F. Ludlum here April 5, 1905. She survives him. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church on King Road. He had engaged in farming all of his life. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Fred (Grace) Schreiber, and Fred Goodeman, both of Bridgeport; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Russell, Bay City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Rev. Stanley Kleen will officiate with burial in Pinegrove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Case Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway from 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church from 1 p.m. Thursday until time of service."

He was a member of Lawndale Evangelical church. He leaves his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Edward Shield and Mrs. Frank Seidel of Saginaw township, Mrs. Louise Scharrer of Bridgeport and Mrs. John H. Hensler of Freeland; two sons, Ernest and Elmer of Kochville township; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Goodeman and Mrs. William Goodeman, and a brother, Albert Ludlum. The funeral will take place Thursday. A private service will be conducted at the home at 1:45 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. there will be service at Lawndale church. Rev. Herbert Stressman will officiate and burial will be in Kochville cemetery. Friends may see Mr. Ludlum at the home from Wednesday evening until the hour of the funeral."

Age 84 passed away at his home early this morning. Born Nov. 17, 1862 in Germany, he came to America when he was 4 years old settling in Zilwaukee. He married Miss Barbara Neurminger there Oct. 13, 1886. She passed away Aug. 16, 1928. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Zilwaukee. Mr. Goodeman, a carpenter by trade has been in the building contracting business for many years. He leaves one son and three daughters, Ernest J. Goodeman, Mrs. George Luplow, Mrs. Herman Bauer, Mrs. Albert Bauer all of Zilwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Marr, Mrs. Eliza Lange both of Kochville Township and 14 grandchildren, two of whom are serving in the U.S. Army; one, Ray Bauer in Texas and Glen Goodeman in Japan. He also leaves 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral 2 PM Friday from the family home and at 2:30 PM from St. John's Lutheran Church, Zilwaukee. Rev. R.G. Koch will officiate. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. He may be seen at the home after 6 PM Wednesday."

Mrs. Goodeman, whose maiden name was Barbara Nuerminger, was born Dec. 28, 1867, in Kochville, was married there to Mr. Goodemann Oct. 18, 1886, and made her home in Zilwaukee. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. George Luplow, Mrs. Herman Bauer and Mrs. Albert Bauer, and one son, Ernest Goodeman, all of Zilwaukee, 11 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Wartenberg, Saginaw, Mrs. Frank Anderson and Mrs. Albert Ludlum, Kochville, and two brothers, Fred Nuerminger, Saginaw township, and Michael Nuerminger, Kochville. Mrs. Goodeman was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Zilwaukee. Funeral services will take place at 1:30 o'clock from St. John's church. Rev. August Keerberger will officiate and burial will be in Forest Lawn."
