Esther M. Buchler, 93, of Caseville died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.
She was born March 26, 1913 in Midland County to the late Louis and Mary (Blumer) Harms.
At age 17 she moved to Mt. Clemens for work. She found employment at Mt. Clemens Pottery where she also met her future husband.
Esther and Michael Buchler were married April 25, 1936 in Mt. Clemens. Esther worked at Mt. Clemens Pottery until she began raising her family. She retired to Caseville in 1973. She was a charter member of the Caseville Retirement Club and an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home and family, and playing cards.
Esther is survived by her son, Ralph (Shirley) of Attica; and daughters, Maxine (Jim) Feller of Las Vegas, Nev. and Susan (Charles) Niemczyk of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Lynn, Shelley, Jennifer and Michael; great-granddaughters, Angela, Rachel and Rebecca; brother, Raymond (Phyllis) Harms of Merrill; and sisters, Marion Delaney of Midland, Marge (Elmer) Craig of Midland and Eleanor Crombez of Mt. Clemens.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael on Feb. 28, 2006; and daughter Betty Feller.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Caseville with Pastor Jim Nihiser officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Michael Buchler, 94, of Caseville died Tuesday evening, Feb. 28, 2006 at his home.
A complete obituary will appear in Thursday's Huron Daily Tribune. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.

Michael Buchler, 94, of Caseville died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 of heart failure while at his home while under hospice care.
Michael was born Sept. 24, 1911 in Detroit to the late Bernard and Katherine (Stumf) Buchler. He grew up in Detroit and Mt. Clemens.
On April 25, 1936 he married Esther M. Harms of Merril in Mt. Clemens.
The family settled in Mt. Clemens and raised the family there. He worked for Ford as an assembler, retiring in 1973 from Sterling Axle. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Caseville, in large part because he loved fishing in the area. He was a charter member of the Caseville Retirement Club and an active member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Michael is survived by his wife, Esther; children Ralph (Shirley) of Attica, Maxine (Jim) Feller of Las Vegas, Nev., and Susan (Charles) Niemczyk of Clinton Township; grandchildren, Lynn, Shelley, Jennifer and Michael; and great-granddaughters, Angela, Rachel and Rebecca.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. on Friday until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or to Heartland Hospice.
